Wind farms under development

EPV Windpower is one of Finland's biggest wind power producers. The company has multiple wind farms in Ostrobothnia, and new farms are being prepared all the time.

New wind farms under development

EPV Windpower is currently preparing new wind farms in Ostrobothnia and in North Ostrobothnia.

Nuunajärvi wind farm

Nuunajärvi wind farm is currently being built in Kuusamo. The wind farm will have 26 turbines in maximum.

Rajavuori wind farm

Rajavuori wind farm is under construction in Laihia. The wind farm will have 18 turbines in maximum.

How and where will wind farms be built?

The location of wind farms is influenced by many different factors, such as wind measurements, land use, nature values and distance to the electricity network. Individual wind turbines are always built well away from residential areas and important natural sites.

The final size of wind farms and the position of individual turbines may still change during environmental impact assessment and the zoning process. The turbine types are selected on the basis of, e.g. wind measurements. All of our turbines represent the latest technology.
